Sterling Shining Star of the Year is an annual honor program that recognizes and rewards school district educators/employees. Perhaps there is a teacher or coach who spends personal time tutoring students, a librarian who encourages every student to reach his or her full potential or a support staff who offers encouraging words. Sterling Shining Star Award honors individuals who are making a significant difference in the lives of students.
Finalists and respective school districts will be listed on the Sterling Shining Star website. In 2017 two awards will be given in the amount of $10,000 each to be equally shared between the recipient and his/her school district.
